The difference between Marble stone and crystal stone

Crystal stone, like marble, is composed of calcite, except that, depending on the degree of metamorphism, the size of the crystals is sometimes larger than usual, visible to the eye crystal stone, like marble, is a type of metamorphic stone. Crystal stones may be composed of quartz, in which case the hardness of the stone increases. The reason for choosing this stone is the sound of breaking similar to crystal stone, which is created in a thickness of less than 2 cm. crystal stone is sometimes formed with the mineral wolastonite.

Crystal stones have a high resistance and due to the absorption of very little water, they can be used in almost all parts of the building from the facade to the floor of toilets, but crystal stones, unlike marble stones, have very little color variation and are often colored. Bright white spots are seen, which may be accompanied by yellow or red streaks. The white color of crystal stones in tropical areas causes low heat absorption and high light reflection, but in other areas, especially urban areas, due to the low variety of colors, their use in interior and exterior decoration of the building has decreased.

One of the most practical types of crystal stone is cloud crystal stone, which is so called because of the sky blue background and white streaks. This type of stone is most used in stairs and cornices due to its low price and abundance in production.
